On July 1, 1961, Diana Frances Spencer was born in Norfolk, England. She was raised in a prominent and high-ranking British household. When she was born, her father, John Spencer, held the title of Viscount; he would later acquire the title of Earl. Frances, her mother, was descended from a line with close ties to the monarchy and Queen Elizabeth II.

She wanted to be engaged in every area of her child’s life, even if it was challenging with all of her royal responsibilities. Diana gave birth to Henry, who was given the name Prince Harry, two years later.

Divorce of Princes Diana
